Description

Built in 1907 and designed by Honeyman & Curtis, this Edwardian brick fire hall was reportedly the first purpose-built for motorized fire engines in North America and the oldest fire hall in Vancouver still in its original building despite huge changes in equipment in the last century of operations. It was expanded in 1929, by Arthur J. Bird., and seismically upgraded in 1988.
