Description
This four-storey brick building was built in 1911 by George B. Baker for Buckley & Backer, and was designed by architect Raphael A. Nicolais. The original address was 1050 Hamilton Street, and The King Warehousing Co. was one of its first occupants.
Expanding industry around False Creek attracted manufacturing, warehouses and other services to this area during the time the CPR released land east of Homer.
This building is another good example of the warehouses built in this area during that time. It is now used mainly for office space.
