Description

116 West Hastings Street is four-storey Edwardian masonry commercial buildings constructed in 1907. This building was built as the Waldorf Rooms with offices on the ground floor.

The building housed tenants such as doctors, a stationary story, a tailor shop, a grocery, a real estate office and Vancouver Ice.

The building lies in a cluster of others early commercial buildings It represents the patterns of retail shopping and services around the turn of the century Vancouver.
