Description
The Capitola Apartments were built in 1909 for $20,000. The owner was J. Seabold; the builder was McLean and Fulton. The building was designed by Arthur J. Bird, who had an office located at Hartney Chambers, 347 Pender. Building permits of the era show that he designed some Shaughnessy and Point Grey municipality residences.
The building is constructed in brick façade with wood trim and cast stone. There is an elaborate cornice articulated at each bay window. There is a corner store on the ground storey.
