Description
This modest two-storey (three-storeys on Hamilton) brick building was designed by Parr & Fee and built by Smith & Sherborne around 1910.
During this time, CPR released this area of land near their tracks along False Creek to allow for new warehouse facilities, which stimulated a flurry of construction in this area. Built for MacPherson & Teetzel, a wholesale hardware company, the building was used as their warehouse for almost 20 years.
By 1928, MacPherson & Teetzel were know as Elliott, Teetzel and Wilson Ltd., and occupied the building until the late 1920’s. The Dunlop Tire & Rubber Goods Co. Ltd then occupied the building for many years.
From 2019 to 2022 the 'Yaletown Square' building was meticulously rehabilitated and a sensitively-designed three-storey contemporary addition constructed above.
