Description
Built around 1909-1910, 1510 Graveley Street first appears in city directories in 1910 with Donald McIntosh listed as the resident. Donald, a clerk at W.J. Gallagher & co., and later of McKinstry & McIntosh remained at the house until 1912.
From 1915 until 1928, Daniel MacIntosh, a water inspector for the city lived at the house. In 1929, Oscar Haynes moved into the house. Oscar, a longshoreman, remained at the house until his death in 1951. His wife Edith remained at the house for another year, leaving it by 1952.
It is an example of a Gabled Vernacular style house, the most common surviving houses of old Vancouver.
