Description

1943 E 4th Avenue first appears in directories in 1908, with William L. Dickinson, a carpenter, listed as the resident. James Johnston, also a carpenter, began living in the house in 1910.

James passed away somewhere between 1926-27, leaving the house to his widow, Annie. Annie remained at the house until 1932-33. She returned to the house in 1938, and remained there until 1940.

In 1941, Don and Isabel McIntosh became the residents.

The house is named for the Johnston’s and the McIntosh’s.
