Along with 2032 W 5th, 2038 West 5th Avenue was built in 1910 by R.D. Cowan. 2038 West 5th Avenue first appears on city directories in 1912, with he first listed resident being John Angus. Angus, of Tewnion and Angus, stayed in the house until 1922/22.
