Description

Along with 1915, 1921, and 2076 East 3rd Avenue, 2070 East 3rd Avenue was built in 1909-1910. The four houses were built and designed by F.W. Bristol and, according to the building permit, were owned by M.F. Blackwell.

The house was owned by the Scott family from 1911 until at least the mid-1950s. John Scott is listed as having been a janitor, a bonder, and a clerk working for BC Electric Company in until his retirement in 1929. Geo Scott (who lived in the house in 1919). was a watchman. John passed away in 1938/39, leaving the house to his widow, Jane.
