Built in 1912 by J.E. Atkins, 2304 Dunbar Street is one of five two-storey dwelling houses built at the same time in Kitsilano by Atkins (2338, 2334, 2316, 2312, 2308, 2304 Dunbar Street). The houses were also listed at one point as 2120-42 Collingwood, and 3457-61 W 6th Avenue.
