Description
This Craftsman Bungalow style home was built in 1912 along with its identical neighbour, 2528 Alberta Street. The adjacent pairing of these residences, referred to as Pattern Book housing, contributes significantly to the heritage aesthetic of the streetscape. The pair belongs to a larger cluster of three houses on the block along with 2516 Alberta Street, which is isolated by the laneway. This 2-storey building demonstrates wood-frame construction and is characterized by its offset porch entry and series of front-facing gables, which cover the roof, bay window, and verandah. Its first owner was Herbert Patrick, a real estate worker, who lived here until his death in 1916.
