Description
In 1912, Thomas Lees built this house for himself while living in the house next door (2734 Dunbar St), which he also built. At the time Dunbar Street had an open stream and Lees used to fish from the front porch.
In 1997, the couple who bought the house from the great-grand-daughter of the Lees, liked that the house had been in the same family since it was built.
Referred to by friends as the proletariat Craftsman, the simple, and good quality of the house was modest and distinct from the more elaborate Craftsman details of the houses at the time.
