Heaps House

Possibly constructed in 1912-1914, the house is named after the original owner James Wilson Heaps, vice-president E.H. Heaps and Co LTD manufacturer of lumber, shingles, sash, door and mouldings, etc. The company produced bank and office fixtures in native and hard woods. It had a mills, factory and local lumber office at Powell St and Victoria Drive, and a general office at 455 West Hastings Street.
