Description
Owner/architect/builder Thomas Pettigrew was issued a permit in July 1911, for a frame dwelling house with concrete foundation at a value of $2,000. Thomas is registered as a carpenter whose first house at 2841 W 6th Avenue was constructed in 1912. This house at 2837 W 6th Avenue was also constructed in 1912 and its first occupants listed as Wallace C. Orchard, chief clerk of the CPR (Canadian Pacific Railway).
Pettigrew is also associated with 2855 W 6th Avenue as its owner/architect/builder in 1912/1913 as well as 2851 W 6th Avenue, constructed at the same time.
