Permits were issued in 1912 and it was a newly constructed home in 1913. 2855 W 6th Ave was built/owned/designed by Thomas Pettigrew who built 4 houses in the area (next door) and is a very good example of the Craftsman style.

Some of the building’s more notable design features include a second storey porch with a shed roof, elaborate stained glass windows, and large brackets. This two-storey frame residence was valued at $4000. A Michael Abraham is listed as occupant in 1914 and George Johnson in 1915.
