Description

This mixed used building has apartments with bay windows on the second floor and commercial space with stores on the ground level. Permits were issued in March 1912 to owner William Dobson, Builder Woods and MacDonald, Architect Stuart and White, for apartment/rooms in a two-storey frame residence at $10,000 value. It is first mentioned in the Directory in 1913. A Fourth Avenue Table Supply Co. occupied 2908 W 4th ave. In the early morning of July 5, 2018, a fire started at the site, and the building has sadly been completely destroyed. Before the fire, 2904-2908 W 4th was home to beloved Topanga Cafe, a foot reflexology centre, and two residential units above.

This building was demolished and removed from Heritage Register in 2018/19.
