Building permits for this Craftsman Bungalow were issued to owner, architect and builder Fred Melton in 1919 of 1727 William St (Melton Apartments). The building was valued at $3900. A garage was added with the value of $150 a year later. Henry Kemp, manager of Kemp & Co Ltd. at 308 Homer St was the first resident in 1920.

Fred Melton has 16 building permits as owner issued between 1910 – 1929; he moved to Melton Court, 2310/20 Cornwall, one of the first apartment buildings in Kitsilano (1923).
