Description
Built in 1922 for Misak Yremavitch Aviazoff and his wife Aileen, this Beaux-Arts style mansion was listed for sale in 2011 for $31.9 million.
Aviazoff, who is listed in the city directories as president of New Method Coal and Supplies, was hit hard by the Great Depression and sold the house to H.A. Wallace, a ship builder who lived in the house until 1946.
In 1946, the house changed hands again, with BC Electric becoming the owner and the head of the company, Albert Edward (Dal) Grauer, and his family moving in. Albert built an addition in the back, and a pool with a cabana was designed by family friend Arthur Erickson.
The address was revised in 2018 from 3390 The Crescent to 3356 The Crescent.
