3637 Angus Dr

This Tudor Revival house, with characteristic tall chimneys, was built in 1912 for Dr. Arthur P. Proctor.

In the mid-20th century, 3637 Angus Drive was home to Mrs. Mary Isabella Rogers. Mrs. Rogers’ husband was Benjamin Tingley Rogers, the founder of the BC Sugar Refinery. Mrs. Rogers was awarded the MBE (Member, Order of the British Empire) in 1946, in recognition of her dedication to music in Vancouver.

Currently, this building is home to Crestwell Centre. Crestwell Centre is operated by Headford Cultural Group, a Christian charitable organization affiliated with Opus Dei.

Angus Drive was named for Richard Bladworth Angus (1831-1922), a director of the CPR who had extensive land holdings in the area.
