Description
Opened 1925, after the school was granted 10 acres by the Education Department. The school is named after Canada’s Governor General of the time, who laid the cornerstone of the new building. The 12 room brick and concrete building, designed by F.G. Gardiner, was outgrown by 1936, which resulted in a new wing. The main building was seismically upgraded in 2002. The workshop gym, cafeteria, auditorium wing still require seismic upgrading. The remaining project is set to start in the summer of 2019.
