Description

4590 St. Catherine’s Street was likely built around 1913, 1914. The house first appears in city directories in 1915, with Asa J. Archibald listed as the resident. Asa, a blacksmith at Mainland Trans Co. lived at the house from 1915 to 1916. The first long term resident was Sid W. Laidman, a freight handler for the Canadian Pacific Railway who lived in the house from 1927 to 1944.
