Description

Developer Westbank Projects Corp., in conjunction with Vancity, Habitat for Humanity and PHS Community Services, built this ten-storey, 108 unit building in 2012.

Vancity had repossessed the lot from the previous owner. Architects Henriquez Partners designed the building as a prototype to fill the significant gap between rental housing and ownership in Vancouver, giving people that usually can’t afford to buy a home in Vancouver the opportunity of ownership.

Individuals need to meet certain requirements. They must live, work or volunteer in the Downtown Eastside neighbourhood, and live in their homes as opposed to renting them out, and not resell for a period of one year.
