Description
The partner building to the Normal School was designed by E.E. Blackmore in 1905. E.E. Blackmore, son of architect William Blackmore, also designed the Immigration Building and First Pantages Theatre (demolished). The school was to provide in-class experience and practice for the student teachers next door. The roof and cupola were destroyed by fire, but the sandstone exterior can still be seen inside the 1989 City Square Mall adaptation by Paul Merrick Architects.
