Description

Kerrisdale School was completed in 1922 and designed by R. Twizell in the Second Renaissance style (common to many schools of the era). The structure includes pre-cast concrete trim and classical motifs around the front entry. The cupola has since been removed. Kerrisdale Elementary was seismically upgraded 2006. The heritage elements that were retained include the brick façade, exterior building details and window designs. The school also received accessibility improvements wherever possible. Please check out the archival photographs in the Gallery section of this page.
