Description

The Arlington Hotel is a brick apartment dwelling with geometric detailing on the facade; it was built in 1912. The architects are listed as Townsend and Townsend. The first residents starting in 1913 were Patrick F. Meagher, and manager Nita Sunburn. Patrick was a bartender at the Europe Hotel, and this was his residence. In 1914 the building’s name was listed as Norden Rooms and the proprietor was Helen M. Whitten. By 1915 the name changed again to the Liverpool Rooms, and later the name was changed again to Star Rooms.
