Description

Built in 1911, this is a good example of a well preserved classic frame house. There is clapboard on the 1st and 2nd storeys. There are shingles in the gable. The house has its original windows. There are bay windows on the west side. In 2000, there was a development permit to construct a new attached garage with a roof deck at the rear of the building.

The original occupant of the main house was Samuel J. Brown, a labourer. In 1915, the occupant of the laneway cottage at the rear of the property was Leslie Walker. He was a driver at Stevenson Brothers. This could refer to Stevenson Brother bakery, located at 17th and Willow.
