Description

This 1903-1904 house was built by English-born carpenter Leonard Sankey. From 1926 to 1928 the house was used by the Canadian Jewish Council of Women, who provided a variety of social services to the Jewish community in Strathcona.

In 1956 to 1958 it was the home of professional wrestler George Pavich.

The house is in the Queen Anne style with a complicated gable roof, projecting bays and a wide front porch. There are also fish scale shingles and carved corner brackets.
