Description

This house was built in 1893 by accountant Hugh McLellan who lived here until 1903. City employee Alex McLellan lived here between 1909 and 1914.

The dwelling is of heritage significance because it is an excellent example of local housing styles. It features a gable roof and a large bay window adored with mullions. In 2012, the building was added to the Heritage Register and designated as a protected heritage property. The owner also entered into a Heritage Revitalization Agreement to secure its rehabilitation and long-term preservation and to vary the Zoning By-law to allow for a Multiple Dwelling infill in the rear.
