Description

This framed classic box style house is a good example of local architecture. It features clapboard exterior with a hip roof and the porch is adorned with unusual Tuscan columns. The altered front window is the only change to an otherwise intact single-family dwelling.

The house was designed and built by David G. McLennan in 1909 for a cost of $1,850. In 1909 the dwelling was hooked up to the City’s water supply for Robert A. McCulloch. McCulloch lived here until 1941, running the McCulloch Bros Grocery at 422 E. Hastings and later working for Kelly Douglas and Co. as a wholesaler.
