Description

This Unusual craftsman bungalow was built around 1912. The house is well preserved with minor alterations. It is a wood frame structure with a wood façade. The shingle side and the windows are original. There is a large porch with arched openings. There is a cast stone wall. There are heavy brackets in the gable.

The original occupants seem to have been William Henry Doan and Thomas Brooks, of Brooks & Doan, grocers, located at Oak and 21st Avenue.

The address for this house was originally 3995 Laurel. In a 1913 building permit for that address, Brooks did $100 repairs.
The house at one point hosted a two room Bed & Breakfast on the lower level of the house.
