Description
Formerly listed as 2590 Point Grey Road, 1428 Trafalgar St was built in 1906, however it does not show up in directories until 1909, with W. H. Forrest as the owner. The Queen Anne Revival style house in on a large corner lot, with views of the ocean.
Across the lane at 2575-2577 Cornwall Avenue is another “A” heritage house, built just a year earlier, and Brig. Gen. Victor Odlum House is a few doors down.
The main Queen Anne Revival style feature of 1428 Trafalgar St is the three storey turret with a conical roof, however it is more unusual that it is placed near the middle of the house, not at a corner. The side gable roof, open verandah with bay windows, shingle siding are other Queen Anne Revival characteristics of this house.
